Undoubtedly taked from an area of countryside in Sussex/Surrey where he grew up.
These scenes are becoming more difficult to find, and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to offer this painting for sale.
Although world renowned for his paintings of wildlife, this painting illustrates how the artist was able to 'turn his hand' to almost any subject.
