22 Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge', oil on canvas, signed and dated 1955.
Although the shop no longer exists, the buildings remain the same, and Beauchamp Place is easily recognisable from this painting;
The detail of which is superb and must having taken many painstaking hours to complete.
In fact it is a restaurant called 'San Lorenzo'.
Just off the Brompton Road, behind Harrods.
Beauchamp Place is a fashionable shopping street in the Knightsbridge district of London.
It was known as Grove Place until 1885.
It was once better known for its brothels and lodging houses, but since the Edwardian era, antique shops and high end fashion boutiques have dominated the street.
