Fred had just been given a shampoo, and was evidently off to the local agricultural fayre.
David had by this time become well known for his wildlife paintings and when a signed limited edition was publiashed there was quite often a waiting list for the new title.
Having begun his career in the Middle East, painting aircraft for the RAF.
he soon found the surrounding landscape particularly interest, and developed a keen interest in the wild animals roaming across the land.
David Shepherd soon found that he was able to 'turn his hand' to most subjects, and enjoyed painting British wildlife and domestic animals.
